Shikha Makan is a leading advertising film director who has worked on many top Indian/international brands, including shoots with celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, MS Dhoni, Kareena Kapoor. She is known for lyrical and musical treatments carrying versatility in creating both real life portraitures and stylised treatments. She is one of the first woman directors to have forayed into the male dominated automobile category in Indian Advertising.

Her narrative & story telling work includes Amazon Prime Video Anthology 'Unpaused Naya Safar' and critically acclaimed non fiction film Bachelor Girls which premiered at the prestigious 40th CAAM, International Asian American Film Festival and streamed on Netflix worldwide. Her writing credentials include shows like 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin', an adaptation of Columbian Telenovela 'Yo Soy Betty' (Ugly Betty) aired on Sony Television.

A Masters in Psychology from Delhi University, she began as a Radio and TV anchor, worked on film series for BBC 4 before taking to direction & writing. She is also an alumni of Japan Foundation’s JENESYS programme, hosted by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Japan. She is also the co-founder of Ad film Production House Kiss Films and founder of content company Savera Talkies.
